In the summer I once again took part in the OTJ-organised MOOSE summer sessions.

I did a presentation on buying, selling and valuing schools and ELL businesses and hoped to share what I have learned in the set up, purchase, sale and brokering of over 30 schools since 2003.

We covered: market capitalisation, gross multipliers, net multipliers, cash flow, book and liquidation value.

In coming blogs I will go into more detail, using examples I have seen on the market recently, of how a potential buyer could approach a school seller with a reasonable offer, or decide it wasn’t for them.
